Leeds player ratings v Wolves: Attacking duo left chasing shadows in 4/10 displays

Goalkeeper and defenders

Bailey Peacock-Farrell – 6: Thrown well and truly into the deep end by Paul Heckingbottom, the thinking must have been he could not have done any worse than Felix Wiedwald did against Middlesbrough last Friday. His first half was solid, pulling off some good saves to deny a handful of swift counter attacks, but he was caught in no mans land for the third.

Gaetano Berardi – 6: A solid if unspectacular display, he marshalled the Wolves attack well while even found himself progressing into the opposition half at times. Was caught out at times, but put himself about to make up for any defensive frailties.

Pontus Jansson – 5: Leeds were undone by set pieces and Jansson will be frustrated about how dominant the opposition were considering his own power in the box. In open play he was resolute, standing tall when needed and putting in a number of blocks, but his lack of pace was exposed by Benik Afobe for the third.

Liam Cooper – 5: A good start was undone as he failed to control his defence at the corner which led to Wolves’ opener. Limped off after 35 minutes following a collision with Berardi in what will have been a seriously worrying sight for the Elland Road crowd.

Vurnon Anita – 5: Beaten all ends up at times by Wolves’ pace, the former Newcastle man showed why he might be described as a jack of all trades but master of none. He works hard but his natural talent can be shown up by quality opposition, while his physicality leaves much to be desired.
