Leeds to back Daniel Farke with huge summer budget – 49ers plan revealed
Leeds United are planning to back Daniel Farke with a huge transfer budget this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that 49ers Enterprises are prepared to back their manager with upwards of £100million to spend on his squad.
This comes after chairman Paraag Marathe confirmed Farke would remain in charge despite speculation, with the owners now prepared to put their money where their mouth is.
Football Insider revealed on 5 May that Leeds are lining up ten new signings to bolster their squad ahead of their return to the Premier League.
Having lifted the Championship title on the final day, the White are determined not to suffer the same fate as Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester this season.
As a result, they have set their sights on the likes of Aaron Ramsdale and Kalvin Phillips as ambitious and experienced options to help with the transition.

49ers to back Daniel Farke is major Leeds overhaul
As part of their plans for a major summer overhaul, Farke could give the green light for a number of players to make way for new faces.
Among the players being eyed are a new goalkeeper and new striker amid concerns about Illan Meslier as well as Joel Piroe and Patrick Bamford.
There is a belief that many of the current options are now up to Premier League standard and improvements will be made this summer.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Leeds have identified six key positions to strengthen ahead of their return to the top tier.
On their list of targets is a new goalkeeper, a full-back, two midfielders, a winger and a striker, while other positions will also be strengthened.

Manor Solomon update emerges at Elland Road
As part of their plans to rebuild and strengthen their squad, the future of Manor Solomon at Elland Road has become a key talking point.
Football Insider revealed on 9 May that Solomon is set to leave Tottenham permanently following his successful loan spell in the Championship.
Farke is keen to keep the 25-year-old at Elland Road on a permanent basis after his crucial role in their promotion campaign.
However, they will face stiff competition as a number of Premier League sides including Everton have expressed an interest in Solomon.
