Leeds United might have been held to a 1-1 draw against West Brom on Saturday (1 March), but the Whites remain top of the Championship and have aspirations to be in the Premier League next season.

Daniel Farke’s side have a three-point gap at the top of the table over Sheffield United and are pushing to win the title this season with planning already starting for that.

The Yorkshire giants are plotting ahead of next season with Football Insider revealing the club are aiming higher than Norwich City’s Josh Sargent in their pursuit of a new striker.

Adding further attacking quality will be crucial in being able to compete and thrive in the English top flight, and former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider that Leeds want to sign Tammy Abraham.

The former Chelsea striker is out of contract a Roma at the end of this season and will be available on a free transfer.

However, as well as signing new players the club will also be looking at retaining those already in the squad to keep the nucleus of the team alive.

Leeds United will face competition to sign Manor Solomon

Manor Solomon is currently at Elland Road on a season-long loan from Tottenham and has been a key part of the squad under Farke.

However, Robinson told Football Insider that Leeds signing him on a permanent contract might not be as simple because Everton are looking to hijack the move in a bid to bolster David Moyes’ squad.

The Merseyside giants might boost Leeds’ squad though as Football Insider revealed they are unlikely to re-sign Jack Harrison full-time, which would see him return to Elland Road.
