Leeds United will “already be looking” for replacements for Kalvin Phillips, Raphinha and Illan Meslier, according to Kevin Campbell.

The ex-Premier League striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the “exceptional” trio could all be off this summer if adequate bids are received.

According to The Athletic (7 February), the Whites are braced for strong interest in Phillips, 26, Raphinha, 25, and Meslier, 21, this summer.

Phillips are Raphinha were the subject of audacious bids from West Ham in the January window just gone.

As revealed by Football Insider (13 October), Liverpool are keeping tabs on the trio who have caught the eye of their scouts.

When asked for his thoughts on the trio’s future, Campbell told Football Insider: “Leeds are going to have to box clever in the transfer market.

“They have built these assets up themselves. The players concerned have done exceptionally well over the past couple of seasons and clubs are naturally going to covet them.

“The sort of money Leeds are likely to be offered could be too much to turn down.

“The aim for the recruitment team will be to get in cheaper players who are as effective. They will already be looking out for those players, I’m sure of it. The club will be having internal talks about it now.

“I wouldn’t worry if they sold off players though. Marcelo Bielsa’s track record says that he can replace them.”
