Leeds United backed to accept ‘£25m’ Jack Harrison offer after journalist’s update – pundit

Alan Hutton has claimed Leeds United would “think about” selling Jack Harrison for less than the asking price if an offer of £25m came in for the player.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said the Whites won’t want to sell “all their best players” too cheaply.

According to the Daily Mail‘s Simon Jones (16 July) Leeds have set the asking price for the 25-year-old at £35million.

The Yorkshire club are said to value the winger very highly and aren’t willing to “sell easily”.

Harrison has two years remaining on his contract at Elland Road.

When asked if the price tag on the Englishman is too high, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think all clubs start high.

£30million is a lot of money. I think he is a good player, he works really hard he’s got good assists, he’s versatile, so he ticks a lot of boxes for managers.

If somebody was to come in for £25million would they think about it? Of course they would it’s a lot of money.

I think there is a little bit of leeway but of course Leeds are going to start high. They don’t want to sell all their best players for on the cheap.

So I think all offers they’ll obviously think over, that’s just a kind of starting price.
