Leeds United backed to complete striker signing after confirmed news – expert
Leeds United should sign another striker even if it hampers Joe Gelhardt’s development.
That’s according to ex-Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about his former side’s hunt for a new attacker.
As quoted by Phil Hay (11 August), Marsch claims Leeds are “evaluating” strikers as he claims his side may need to sign another attacker before the transfer window shuts.

Patrick Bamford and Joe Gelhardt are the White’s first and second-choice strikers though the former only made nine league appearances last season.
Leeds have been busy this summer, signing Brenden Aaronson, Luis Sinisterra, Tyler Adams, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi though none of them are strikers.
Kenny expects at least one new striker will arrive at Elland Road before the transfer window shuts.
“It’s all about balance, they do need another one in,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“At the end of the day, Gelhardt needs game time but they have to have the right people in. If that means they bring someone in and he plays ahead of Gelhardt, so be it.
“It’s competition, you have to play better and train harder than the other players in your position.
“Leeds need a striker, we have been saying it for ages. They have done good business this summer but they have not addressed that position.
“I think they will get that one done.”

Gelhardt made 20 Premier League appearances last season, scoring twice.
He also registered two assists.
