Leeds United backed to sign Moussa Dembele after source’s reveal – ‘they’ll be buzzing,’ says pundit

Alan Hutton has backed Leeds United to secure a deal for Moussa Dembele.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender said Leeds will be “buzzing” with any player they can get through the door that will help them improve.

On 20 February, sources told this site that the Whites are well placed to sign Dembele, 26, in the summer if they can escape relegation.

The former Celtic striker is out of contract at Lyon at the end of the season and could be available for free.

Dembele is wanted by Leeds as well as their fellow relegation contenders Southampton, but any deal is contingent on either side staying up.

Hutton insisted Leeds need a player like Dembele in their ranks.

At the end of the day they are a Premier League outfit at this moment in time,” he told Football Insider.

It is a position that they need options, especially if they are going to get out of the situation that they are in.

It is a difficult one for them at the moment, they are down at the bottom, they do not have a manger, what direction is the club going in?

Jesse Marsch was brought in because he was liked by Bielsa and they played that kind of style. I am kind of confused by the direction that they are going in at this moment in time.

But anybody that can come in and make them better I am sure they will be buzzing with.
