Leeds United backed to agree Ryan Kent deal after multiple offers submitted – pundit

Frank McAvennie has backed Leeds United to “take a chance” on Rangers star Ryan Kent.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Celtic and West Ham striker thinks Leeds will stay in the Premier League next season and believes they will be willing to make an offer for Kent.

On 6 March, Football Insider revealed that the Whites have registered their interest in the 26-year-old ahead of the summer window.

The winger is out of contract in the summer ands set to leave for free.

The Gers have offered the attacker a new contract, and submitted multiple offers to date, but he is yet to decide on where he sees his future.

Championship leaders Burnley are also keen on Kent, as first revealed by Football Insider last month (10 February), and will push ahead with trying to lure him if they succeed in their promotion bid.

McAvennie claimed there will be a few offers for Kent.

I do not think Leeds will get relegated,” he told Football Insider.

I can see Leeds taking a chance on him. I can’t see anyone taking a chance on [Alfredo] Morelos. Certainly not in the Premier League.

Kent has got talent there is no doubt about that. So, I can see someone thinking they can get the best out of him. Morelos on his day is pretty good but we have not seen that for a long time.

But I think Leeds might stay up. I think there might be a couple of offers for Kent because he’s available for nothing. You would take your chance on him.

In other news, three Leeds United stars set to quit if they get relegated.
