Leeds United employee issues ‘brilliant’ transfer claim
Noel Whelan has attributed the “brilliant” transformation of the Leeds United midfield to the speedy arrival of their new signings during the summer window.
The former Whites striker and club ambassador, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted it would have been a “massive plus” to give their new faces a full pre-season.
Midfielders Marc Roca, Tyler Adams, Luis Sinisterra, and Brenden Aaronson all arrived in the first week of July – with pre-season testing getting underway at Thorp Arch on 4 July.

All four players have been instrumental to Leeds United starting their season with two draws and two wins – with the Whites sitting ninth in the Premier League.
Sinisterra has recently recovered from a hamstring injury and has scored three goals in his first three starts for the Yorkshire side.
Roca, Adams, and Aaronson have started all six of Leeds United’s league games so far.
Whelan insisted the “hard work” during the main window has “come to fruition” on the pitch.
He told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “These players were through the door very early in the window.
“Sinisterra was one of the last main signings, but he had the injury setback that put him back a few weeks.
“When you look at it, that’s the massive plus about getting new signings in very early and having a full pre-season.
“Marsch has set up the formation and let every player know the job and role required of them.

“I think that hard work has come to fruition. We’ve seen that in the opening games of this season.
“They look a brilliant, solid unit in that midfield.”
