Leeds United employee issues emphatic Cody Drameh prediction after Thorp Arch update
Noel Whelan has backed Cody Drameh to play a key role for Leeds United during pre-season after returning from a successful loan at Cardiff.
The former Whites striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 20-year-old will be desperate to “show Jesse Marsch what he’s all about” after his Championship spell.
Drameh started all 22 games in the second tier since joining Cardiff during the January transfer window – notching three assists in the process.

Leeds United’s first-choice right-back Luke Ayling could miss the entirety of pre-season after being ruled out until the autumn following knee surgery.
Back-up option Stuart Dallas is also on the treatment table at present after suffering a horrific leg break – and Football Insider have revealed (6 May) he could be sidelined for the full 2022-23 campaign.
England Under-21 international Drameh departed in search of first-team football in January – against the wishes of then-manager Marcelo Bielsa.
When asked if it was time for the starlet to get his first-team chance, he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “Absolutely.
“The loan was his second part of the progression. He’s come through the Under-23 system, and now he’s gone out to get that experience.
“He went to Cardiff and played the majority of the games since joining – and played very well consistently. He’s got to be in the mind of Jesse Marsch come pre-season.

“Drameh has shown that progression, he’s shown he is mature enough to handle the Championship.
“I think he’ll be well in that group and wanting to show Marsch what he’s all about.”
