Leeds United fans all say the same to Daniel Farke after what talented gem just did
Leeds United supporters have aimed clear digs at Daniel Farke after what one rarely seen gem managed away from the first team.
Farke is under serious pressure at Leeds, with his side sitting just one point above the Premier League relegation zone after 11 games, winning just three of those matches so far.
Matches against Aston Villa, Man City, Chelsea, and Liverpool are all upcoming, so it is difficult to see where points are coming from over the next few weeks. Fears of relegation are rising.
Leeds lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest last time out in their sixth league defeat of the season, with fans failing to understand the summer signings of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha.
However, some believe they might have found the answer to their attacking problems at Thorp Arch.
Leeds United ready to see Harry Gray at senior level
With Leeds Under-21s facing Accrington Stanley in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, 11 November, all eyes were glued onto 17-year-old Harry Gray, younger brother of Tottenham‘s Archie Gray.
After just three minutes, the youngster had already hit the back of the net before also netting a second, with his team down to 10 players, and it sparked a few messages from disgruntled supporters, aimed at Farke.
Farke has been quizzed as to why the youngster has not been given a proper chance at senior level yet, especially as the manager’s first-team attackers continue to fail in front of goal.
- @craseyrecords: “What more does this lad have to do to get a shot in the first team? Surely, he can’t be any worse than the attack at the moment.”
- @james_evans76: “If only he played for Leeds. We could do with someone like him.”
- @Ahme39837571: “Hopefully be available in Champs [Championship] next season.”
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha fail to deliver at Elland Road
While Nmecha scored the Whites’ only goal at the City Ground, he has only netted twice in 12 matches, but after being signed on a free transfer, it is not really a surprise.
Calvert-Lewin has also struggled for Leeds, missing several chances to improve on his single goal since arriving in West Yorkshire, and fans are already fed up with the former Everton man.
Very few expected the 28-year-old to hit the ground running, and with Premier League relegation on the line this season, more and more are waiting for Gray to be thrown into the mix.
Given how difficult it has been for the Whites to score this season, it is unlikely to be any worse.
