Leeds United news: Jesse Marsch will be delighted as ‘amazing’ training ground claim made – pundit
Alan Hutton has insisted Jesse Marsch will be thrilled to have another lengthy break between games at Leeds United.
The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted it is “amazing” what a new manager can do on the training ground without the demands of upcoming fixtures.
Having beaten Watford 3-0 at Vicarage Road on Saturday (9 April), Leeds must wait until 25 April for their next game against Crystal Palace.

The Whites’ game against Chelsea, scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed, meaning Marsch’s men have a 16-day gap between matches.
Hutton insisted the squad at Elland Road will still be adapting to Marsch’s methods following his appointment.
As such, he insisted the gap in games is good news for the American manager.
Discussing the break in fixtures, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I think it is good. If you look at it when he came in, it was just hit the ground running. Then you had the international break.
“He’s had an opportunity to work on it, which he probably did defensively. You saw the Southampton game, okay, they conceded, but then you go into the Watford game and they get a clean sheet.
“Now it’s more time. If they’ve got a couple of weeks before their next game, it’s extra time that you can go and work on it. It’s amazing how much you can do within that period of time, especially for a new manager.

“If you’re just in game after game, it’s very difficult to work on the training ground.
“Marsch has been given two opportunities with the international break and now. He’ll be really happy with the time that he’s got to spend on the training ground.”
