Leeds United news: ‘Out of nowhere’ development has Whites ‘looking over their shoulder’ – Kenny

Leeds United are “looking over their shoulder” as their defensive worse continue.

That’s according to former Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after his former side shipped another three goals during Wednesday’s (9 February) draw with Aston Villa.

Leeds have now conceded 43 goals in the Premier League this season with only Newcastle and Norwich shipping more.

This comes with Marcelo Bielsa telling the BBC on Wednesday (9 February) Patrick Bamford is yet to begin his recovery from his latest setback, adding it is “impossible to imagine when that’s going to happen”.

When asked if Leeds’ defensive record and Bamford’s injury setback could cause real problems for the club, Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ewan Kingsbury, “Listen, you are never safe in the Premier League until you are safe.

“Leeds will be looking over their shoulder. They do have a little bit to play with because of the points they have already picked up.

“But, give it a few weeks of not picking up any points, you will be right in the mix.

“All of a sudden you have Newcastle and Norwich picking a few points up out of nowhere.

“I’m sure they will be watching over their shoulders and looking to keep away from that bottom three.”
