Kieran Maguire: Andrea Radrizzani could overrule 49ers on Jesse Marsch sacking at Leeds United
Andrea Radrizzani could in theory overrule the San Francisco 49ers when it comes to Jesse Marsch’s future at Leeds United – but he is unlikely to do so.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the power dynamics behind the scenes at Elland Road.
Radrizzani remains Leeds’ majority owner with 56 per cent of the club’s shares while the 49ers, who have steadily increased their stake in the club since 2018, currently own 44 per cent.

They will no doubt be dissatisfied with the West Yorkshire side’s form under Jesse Marsch, whose side have not won in eight and are 18th in the Premier League.
As quoted by The Telegraph on Thursday (27 October), the American suggested that he has three games to save his job.
Maguire analysed the distribution of power within the club and assessed how a final decision will be made.
“The 49ers have boots on the ground at Elland Road,” he told Football Insider’s Adam Williams.
“The likes of Paraag Marathe, the president of the 49ers, are board members.
“I’m sure any decision with regard to operational actions at a coaching level will be made on a collegiate basis.

“Clearly, Radrrizzani’s input will be taken into account. He can, of course, effectively force a decision through given his majority shareholding.
“But I’m sure he is willing to listen to other voices as well. It wouldn’t necessarily be in his interests or the interests of the board as a wheol if one person tries to force through a deal.“
