Sources: Leeds United reach full agreement on club-record Georginio Rutter deal as he jets in to sign today
Leeds United have agreed personal terms with Hoffenheim forward Georginio Rutter after having a club-record £35.3m bid accepted, sources have told Football Insider.
The 20-year-old has been given the green light to travel to Leeds on Thursday night for a medical and to put pen to paper on a long-term contract.
He has secured what sources say is a “huge” pay hike that will multiple his wages many times as he completes what will be a record Leeds signing.

A deal for the France Under-21 international has been agreed and all parties are confident it will be finalised in the next 48 hours.
It is worth up to £35.3m including add-ons, surpassing the club’s current transfer record fee of £27m paid for Rodrigo from Valencia in August 2020.
Lawyers have put together the final documents and they are being exchanged between the clubs before being registered with the relevant ruling bodies.
His imminent arrival will be the second signing of the January window for Leeds after they brought in Austrian defender Max Wober from Red Bull Salzburg for a fee in the region of £11m.
Leeds’ recruitment team have recommended Rutter after being charged with securing a deal for a regular goalscorer.
Only two of their squad have scored more than two Premier League goals this season, top scorer Rodrigo Moreno (10) and winger Crysencio Summerville (four).

Rutter is regarded as a major talent with the potential to make a big impact in the Premier League.
He has scored twice and supplied three assists in 17 games in all competitions this season for Hoffenheim and has an overall record of 11 goals in 64 appearances for the Bundesliga side.
