Medical expert issues ‘very surprising’ verdict on Harrison comeback date after Leeds latest
It would be “very surprising” if Leeds United wide man Jack Harrison was not fit to face Liverpool on Boxing Day.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Harrison was replaced after just half an hour in Leeds’ eventual 4-1 defeat to Arsenal at Elland Road last Saturday (18 December).

It was revealed later that day that the 25-year-old had suffered a dead leg, described as “very painful” by Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa, as per Leeds Live.
Dinnery claims that Harrison’s knock would have left him in agony but that it will not tule him out for any significant length of time.
“I understand he just took a big whack on the hip bone,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“It is very painful and can impede his ability to function properly, to run, sprint, change direction.
“But with some treatment, this period between now and Boxing Day will hopefully give him enough time to come back into the team.
“I wouldn’t expect him to be out for any sort of significant period. It would be very surprising if he wasn’t available for game week 19.”

Leeds, who are 16th in the league table, currently have 11 players absent through illness, injury or suspension.
The extent of the current crisis meant they were forced to name 15-year-old Archie Gray on the bench against the Gunners.
