Leeds United stars to be ‘rewarded massively’ after £15million reveal – ‘They deserve this’
Leeds United’s best stars “deserve” bumper new contracts if they earn promotion to the Premier League.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Rangers and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton singled out Crysencio Summerville and Dan James as stars who warrant “massive” fresh terms.
As revealed by Football Insider, (17 February), the Whites are set to offer multiple first-team players big-money new contracts if they escape the Championship.
Sources have also told Football Insider (15 February) that Leeds will have to pay out around £15million in bonuses if promotion is achieved – with some set for significant performance-related bonuses.

Daniel Farke’s second-place side can boast some of the second tier’s best assets, including Summerville, Willy Gnonto, Archie Gray and Ethan Ampadu, and are well set to return to the top flight.
Hutton admitted that the club may look to improve on some of their players next season, but was thrilled to see such talents get their just reward.
“These players deserve new deals,” he told Football Insider.
“When you’re in the Championship and doing well, your standout players will get rewarded massively.
“They deserve this.
“That being said, they will look to recruit elsewhere because they have to improve the squad if they want to stay in the Premier League.
“It’s right for the players that are performing and there for the future, like Summerville and James, that they get rewarded.”
