Leeds United three-man shortlist revealed – sources
Patrick Vieira, Daniel Farke and Scott Parker are all in the frame to become Leeds United’s next manager, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Saturday (24 June) that the Whites want to make an appointment in the next week as pre-season approaches.
It is believed Leeds are keen to appoint an out-of-work manager with Premier League experience.
Vieira, Farke and Parker all meet those criteria and are the leading candidates to land the role.
As revealed by Football Insider on Tuesday (20 June), Leeds ruled out appointing West Brom’s Carlos Corberan due to his lack of top-flight experience.
The Yorkshire giants are still without a permanent successor for Sam Allardyce despite having just days remaining before the players return for pre-season training.
Leeds finished 19th in the Premier League last term and were ultimately relegated to the Championship for the 2023-24 season.
Vieira has been without a club since his sacking by Crystal Palace in March.
The former midfield titan has also had spells in charge at Nice and New York City FC – and led Palace to 22 wins in his 74 matches in charge at the club.
Meanwhile, Farke has been out of work since he was sacked by German side Borussia Monchengladbach earlier this month.
The former Norwich boss has won the Championship on two occasions with the Canaries and has picked up 1.82 points per game across 138 matches in charge in England’s second tier.

Finally, Parker was sacked twice in the 2022-23 campaign – with Bournemouth and Club Brugge choosing to part ways with the Englishman.
However, the 42-year-old has been promoted from the Championship twice in his young managerial career – leading both the Cherries and Fulham back into the Premier League.
