Attacker must be axed: Three things learned about Leeds from defeat to Sheffield Wednesday

Leeds missing their shooting boots

It is fair to say that things just did not go right for Leeds on Sunday.

Yes, it was not a top drawer performance but the Whites had their chances to peg Sheffield Wednesday back.

Kemar Roofe, Samuel Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski all looked lively up top, but they all passed up brilliant chances to score.

Alioski put a header wide from an unmarked position right next to the goal, while Saiz oddly chose to shoot at Wednesday keeper Joe Wildsmith at the near post when the rest of the goal was gaping.

It was an off day for all in black (Leeds’ away kit) at Hillsborough, but none more so than the attackers.
