Leeds United tipped to accept ‘£70m’ Raphinha bid after source reveal – pundit
Gabby Agbonlahor has tipped Leeds United to sell Raphinha to Barcelona for “£70million” this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England international insisted Raphinha will want to leave Leeds despite them staying up and it’s important the club get as much money as possible from a sale.
The 25-year-old scored the opener in the Whites’ 2-1 win over Brentford on Sunday (22 May) which secured them their Premier League status for another season.
A recruitment source told Football Insider earlier this week (24 May) that Barcelona remain keen on Raphinha who is expected to depart Elland Road this summer.
Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this year (27 March) that the Brazil star, who has two years left on his contract, had a release clause of just £25million if Leeds were relegated.
“Raphinha will still be wanting to go this summer, there will be no change on that front,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“If he goes they’ve got to invest that money wisely.
“They can get at least £50million, 100 per cent. Maybe £60million or £70million because he’s a top, top winger.
“There is talk of Barcelona wanting him so they’ve got to pay up.
“Leeds have some top, top players ready if he does go so they can improve that squad of players.
“Next season could be even harder than this one.”

Raphinha’s goal against Brentford was his 14th goal contribution in 35 Premier League games this season.
Since arriving from Rennes in October 2020, he has scored 17 times and chipped in with 12 assists in 65 top-flight appearances.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has issued a verdict on the 49ers quitting a £400million Leeds United takeover deal.
