Danny Mills expects Leeds to complete two January signings to ‘add sparkle’ after Bielsa confession
Danny Mills has suggested Leeds United could sign a couple of players on loan in the January window to add a “bit of sparkle and pizzazz” to the squad.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Man City and England defender claimed Marcelo Bielsa must go against his instincts and bolster his squad if their injury issues persist.
Bielsa has been without Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling, Robin Koch and Junior Firpo in recent weeks although Firpo returned to the starting XI against Brighton & Hove Albion.

As quoted by Leeds Live (November 21), Bielsa suggested it would be difficult to bolster his squad without spending heavily.
Leeds’ 0-0 draw with Brighton leaves them in 17th-place and just three points clear of Burnley, who have a game in hand.
Asked whether the Whites should dip into the market in the new year if their woes continue, Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “It’s not really Marcelo Bielsa, it’s not really what he does.
“If those experienced players are still out then surely you’ve got to look at a couple of loans to add a bit of strength in depth and a bit of sparkle and pizzazz.
“That’s vitally important and I can see him doing it.”

Leeds have spent over £150million since their promotion to the Premier League in 2020.
They splashed over £50million in the recent window with the arrivals of Firpo and Dan James while Jack Harrison finally signed a permanent deal after three years on loan from Man City.
In other news, Kieran Maguire has revealed Leeds United are delighted to land a windfall after a £10m deal is agreed.
