Leeds United told to reject Raphinha part-exchange offer after update – Agbonlahor

Leeds United must reject a part-exchange offer from Barcelona for Raphinha, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

The former Aston Villa striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 25-year-old is worth upwards of £65million.

According to Spanish outlet Sport (27 March), there is a possibility that Barcelona could include defender Oscar Mingueza in the offer for Raphinha this summer.

The report claims the Blaugrana have already seen a €35million (£29.1million) bid for the winger rejected.

Left-back Junior Firpo joined the Elland Road club from Barcelona last summer (2021) but has failed to impress in his 23 appearances thus far.

When asked if Leeds will be wary of accepting a part-exchange offer after Firpo’s form this season, he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury: “I think they’ll just want the money.

“There were rumours of a release clause around the £65million mark. Even if that’s not the case, that’s a good fee and I’m sure they’ll want every penny.

“He’s 100% worth that much, and I don’t think they’ll be wanting to accept a player in return.

“They’ll be wanting that full fee so they can go out and choose the players they want in the summer window.”

Raphinha, who is under contract until 2024, has notched nine goals and three assists in 27 league games this term.

He joined the Whites from Stade Rennais for a reported £17million in 2020.
