Leeds United told to sign Patrick Bamford 2.0 after transfer news – Mills
Leeds United need to sign a striker in the mould of Patrick Bamford and not Mitchy Batshuayi, according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Whites and England full-back claimed they need a striker who will work off the ball like Bamford.
The 28-year-old has missed the vast majority of the season with various injuries but is the only senior recognised striker on Leeds’ books and has been sorely missed.

TeamTALK reported last week (20 April) the Yorkshire giants are interested in Batshuayi as Chelsea plan to finally get rid of him on a permanent deal.
The 28-year-old is currently on his fifth loan spell away from Stamford Bridge with Turkish giants Besiktas.
But Mills has claimed he is not the right profile of striker Leeds should be targeting this summer.
He told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Batshuayi is a little bit hit and miss.
“Yes, he can have some great games but then he has some barren spells. I’m not sure if you get that consistency.
“You just need a striker that you know which job he’s going to do.
“A little bit like Patrick Bamford, even when he’s not scoring goals you know what he’s going to do for the team. That’s just as important.
“With Batshuayi I’m not sure you know which game you are going to get from week to week.”

Batshuayi has 14 goals from 29 Super Lig games with Besiktas and has an impressive record in the Premier League.
In his time at Chelsea and two loan spells with Crystal Palace, the Belgium international has 15 goals from 77 top-flight appearances, including just 22 starts.
In other news, a Leeds United employee has issued a ‘100%’ verdict on Bamford’s return after confirmed news.
