Leeds United transfer news: Five stars could quit if promotion bid fails
Leeds United had automatic Premier League promotion in the palm of their hands at one stage this season.
A superb run in early 2024 saw the Whites storm to the top of the Championship table, with their rise helped by slips from both Leicester City and Ipswich Town.
But several disastrous results have followed, with Daniel Farke’s side now looking likely of having to settle for a play-off place.
Based on information from senior recruitment sources, Football Insider analyses five Leeds players who could leave Elland Road this summer if the club’s promotion bid fails.
Crysencio Summerville (22)

The most worrying potential exit for the Elland Road faithful, Summerville could be one of the first names out the door should the club fail to make it back to the top flight.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a superb season, with 20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, with sources telling Football Insider on Wednesday (24 April) that Aston Villa are keeping close tabs on the winger.
Archie Gray (18)

Equally worrying, however, is the uncertainty regarding teenage sensation Gray, with the 18-year-old’s future up in the air after his stunning breakout season.
The versatile midfielder is approaching his 50th Whites appearance, but his time at Elland Road could be coming to an abrupt end, with Tottenham joining the race for his signature last month, sources told Football Insider.
Wilfried Gnonto (20)

Another winger who could be on how way out is Gnonto, who has been linked with an Elland Road exit for several transfer windows now.
The 20-year-old has remained in West Yorkshire despite plenty of speculation in recent seasons, but he could finally make a move away, with sources telling Football Insider on Sunday (21 April) that Leeds will accept an offer close to £30million for his services.
Max Wober (26)

Several senior players decided to leave Elland Road last summer upon the club’s relegation from the Premier League, one of which was Wober, who joined Borussia Monchengladbach on loan.
The 26-year-old has been a regular in Germany, with 27 appearances in all competitions, and sources told Football Insider last month that Leeds are now ready to accept permanent offers for the centre-back this summer.
Jack Harrison (27)

Farke could lose yet another winger in the summer transfer window, with sources telling Football Insider earlier this month that loanee Harrison is set to secure a permanent exit.
The 27-year-old has been spending the season in the Premier League with Everton, where he has been a key player under Sean Dyche, helping the Toffees stave off relegation.
