
Leeds United will learn extent of Patrick Bamford injury ‘tomorrow’ after ‘bitterly disappointing’ development – expert
Leeds United will discover the full extent of Patrick Bamford’s injury in the next 24 hours.
That is according to ex-Whites and England defender Danny Mills, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 28-year-old’s lates injury setback.
Bamford limped off after just 23 minutes of Leeds United’s dramatic 3-2 win over Wolves on Friday.
As quoted by Leeds Live (19 March), manager Jesse Marsch revealed staff believe the extent of the injury “is not too bad”.
Bamford has missed the majority of this season with ankle and hamstring injuries.
The centre-forward has two weeks to recover in time for Leeds’ next Premier League fixture at home to Southampton (2 April).
When asked for his thoughts on Bamford’s injury, Mills told Football Insider‘s Connor Whitley: “I’m not quite sure what he’s done or how serious it is.
“We will have to wait and see and tomorrow. By then it will have calmed down and he can been assessed properly to find out what the real issue is.
“He will be bitterly disappointed that he keeps breaking down.
“He has come back so many times and had recurring injuries. But it doesn’t seem to be the same injury every time. It is a concern.”

Speaking on Bamford’s injury, Marsch said: “Patrick Bamford we believe is not too bad.
“I think that with his plantar fasciitis it’s just been sensitive over the last couple of weeks as he’s trying to get himself back.
