Harry Wilson faces awkward reunion with one Leeds United star as footage resurfaces - view
Building new connections and friendships with every player may not be a simple task for Harry Wilson at Leeds United this summer.
The latest news is that the Welshman is set to join Leeds on a free transfer after his Fulham contract expired, choosing them over Aston Villa and Everton.
Many expected the talented winger, who notched 11 goals and eight assists last term, to join up with the 'Welsh Mafia', with Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, Dan James and Karl Darlow already in North Yorkshire.
It does look as though Daniel Farke's side have won the race, though an official announcement has not yet been released to the patiently-waiting supporters.
His connections to the Wales national team are likely to make him feel right at home at Elland Road, but the resurfacing of footage has thrown some concerns over his initial arrival.
Premier League stars are always likely to clash, but much like Mohammed Kudus and Micky van de Ven at Tottenham Hotspur, differences can be easily settled.
Harry Wilson has some apologising to do at Elland Road
During Kudus' time at West Ham United, the duo butted heads on the pitch, which ended up in the Ghanaian being sent off.
While Wilson's incident is nowhere near as bad as that, it did cause quite the stir on social media amongst Leeds fans, with some of those posts now being retracted.
Back in January, Lukas Nmecha scored the only goal in the Whites' 1-0 win over the Cottagers, with the 29-year-old's frustrations getting the better of him.
Tracking back to battle Gabriel Gudmundsson, Wilson went flying into a reckless challenge on the full-back, picking up a deserved yellow card.
Some suggested that he was lucky not to see an upgraded colour due to the nature of his foul, but fans are quickly forgiving him after the news of his impending arrival.
Gabriel Gudmundsson may be having nightmares over new arrival
Fulham seemed to be a bit of a bogey team for Gudmundsson last season, having been bodied by the winger in one game and conceding a buzzer-beating own goal in the other.
In the Cottagers' home win, the left-back was run ragged for the best part of an hour by Wilson, so he will know exactly what he'll be facing in training.
Out on the wing, Leeds' incoming signing can be absolutely relentless, and when he drifts into the middle of the park, he can be impossible to keep quiet.
Of course, Gudmundsson will likely be pleased that he'll be playing with him, rather than against him, in 2026-27, but training drills are about to be made much more difficult.
