Burnley are bracing themselves to receive offers for striker Zian Flemming amid interest from the likes of Leeds United and Brentford, sources have told Football Insider.

The Dutchman has been heavily linked with an exit following the Clarets’ relegation, and they are “expecting” to face bids for him in the coming weeks.

The 28-year-old caught the eye in his debut Premier League campaign last term, and is understood to be keen to return to the top level this summer.

Leeds are in the market for a new striker, with Daniel Farke keen to reduce their reliance on Dominic Calvert-Lewin for goals ahead of the upcoming season.

Flemming netted 11 league strikes from just 21 starts in a struggling team last term, and has emerged on the radar at Elland Road as a genuine target in the final month of the transfer window.

However, they are set to face a battle to secure his signature, with Football Insider revealing last week that Brentford have already made an enquiry into the frontman’s future.

Leeds working to take pressure off Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Calvert-Lewin surpassed the expectations of many at Elland Road with his performances last term, as his goals were largely responsible for Farke’s men avoiding relegation.

The former Everton man netted 14 goals in the league, but he was the only member of the Whites’ squad who broke into double figures across the entire campaign.

Joel Piroe appears increasingly likely to be heading for the exit, which is set to leave Lukas Nmecha as the only direct cover for Calvert-Lewin.

Nmecha netted six goals from just 10 starts last term, but battled injuries almost from start to finish during his debut campaign in English football.

Farke is desperate to bring in a few new faces at the top of the pitch to help ease the goalscoring burden, and Flemming has been identified as a player who could help in that department.

The ex-Millwall man outperformed his xG by over three goals in 2025-26, and found ways to net in a team that only managed more goals than bottom club Wolves.

Brenden Aaronson makes decision about leaving Leeds after deal completed

Leeds plan to ‘ramp up’ Brenden Aaronson talks

Football Insider recently revealed that Leeds are planning to “ramp up” contract talks with midfielder Brenden Aaronson in the coming weeks.

The American’s current deal is due to expire in June 2027, but both he and the club are keen to extend his stay in West Yorkshire with renewed terms.

Aaronson is hoping to stay and fight for his place at Leeds this season, with the end goal of securing a new contract ahead of next summer.

The 25-year-old managed four goals and five assists in the league last term, and became one of the first names on the team sheet for Farke.
