Leicester City Exclusive: Steve Cooper struggling to win over dressing room
Leicester City players are unconvinced by Steve Cooper’s methods amid dressing room mutiny fears, sources have told Football Insider.
Whispers about Cooper first surfaced during pre-season at the Foxes training ground and have now intensified among the squad in recent weeks.
There are growing doubts about the 44-year-old’s ability to win over the players after Leicester’s difficult start to the season.
Club directors are believed to be increasingly aware that Cooper is struggling to convince a sceptical dressing room of his methods and playing style.
The Foxes are winless in the Premier League after the opening five games and currently sit 15th in the table.
Cooper’s side have picked up draws against Everton, Crystal Palace, and Tottenham, while they defeated Tranmere in the EFL Cup second-round.

Cooper took charge at the King Power Stadium during the summer after Enzo Maresca departed to join Chelsea.

Cooper managed Forest for 108 games in just over two years, boasting a 38.89 win percentage and was an immensely popular figure among the club’s supporters.

The newly promoted Premier League side currently sit just two points off the bottom of the table after a difficult start to the campaign.
