Leicester City are lining up a summer move for Leeds United loanee Ben White, Football Insider can reveal.
The Brighton & Hove Albion defender has made a huge impact at Elland Road this season and is on the radar of multiple elite Premier League clubs.
A Leicester source has told Football Insider the club have been hugely impressed by White and are looking at him closely with a view to trying to sign him in the summer.
Brendan Rodgers is in the market for a new centre-back despite the Foxes’ outstanding Premier League campaign.
Leicester’s regular pairing this season have been Caglar Soyuncu and Jonny Evans, who have started 24 and 25 Premier League games respectively.
Whites is also on the radar of the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United after his consistently excellent form in this season’s Championship.
Leicester are also in line to be able to offer White Champions League football as they are third in the Premier League, eight points ahead of Chelsea in fourth.
White has only played twice for the Brighton first team and, prior to joining Leeds last July, had spent the previous two campaigns on loan in League One and League Two at Peterborough United and Newport County respectively.
The centre-back has started all 32 of United’s league matches this season and remarkably played every single minute of the Championship campaign.
