Medical expert: ‘My understanding’ is Jamie Vardy out ‘four weeks’ after Leicester City blow
Jamie Vardy is facing up to “four weeks” out with a knee injury – but Leicester City will be relieved it is not another hamstring issue.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
Vardy, 35, picked up the injury in the 1-0 win over Leeds United on 5 March.

It was only the centre-forward’s second game back after recovering from a hamstring issue that caused him to miss 11 matches.
Per BBC Sport, Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers revealed last Wednesday (9 March) that the Leicester icon is facing a “few weeks” on the sidelines.
Dinnery predicts that Vardy could be in line to return shortly after the upcoming international break.
“It’s an impact injury,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“My understanding is that it was contact from a heavy tackle. It’s just unfortunate.
“Football is a contact sport. You’re thankful it wasn’t another hamstring setback given that it was his first start since coming back.
“It’s massively disappointing. But the medical department will be breathing a huge sigh of relief that it isn’t a recurrence.
“It’s painful and will need to be managed. It will be around that three to four-week period.
“So the first week back after the international break. That gives him plenty of time to recover.”

Vardy has netted 12 times in 14 appearances across all competitions this season.
His Leicester side are in action against Stade Rennais in the Europa Conference League tonight (17 March).
