Lewis O’Brien could ‘take the Premier League by storm’ after Nottingham Forest transfer report – Campbell

Kevin Campbell has backed Nottingham Forest to seal deals for Lewis O’Brien and Harry Toffolo this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Forest and Arsenal striker said the Huddersfield Town duo “would be good signings” for Steve Cooper’s side.

According to the Daily Mail (3 July), Nottingham Forest want to add Huddersfield midfielder Lewis O’Brien as well as left-back Harry Toffolo to their squad.

O’Brien, 23, has three years remaining on his contract with the Championship club.

Toffolo has one year left on his current deal after the Terriers triggered an extension clause in his agreement.

When asked by Football Insider if the two aforementioned players would be welcome additions at the City Ground, Campbell said: “I think they would be good signings.

“They are two players that the Steve Cooper knows.

“Forest have done some good business to strengthen that squad. You have to remember, last season they were playing with quite a few loan players. The same rules do not apply in the Premier League. They have to strengthen and they are strengthening.

“We will not know how good the signings are until the season kicks off. Good Championship players can sometimes come into the Premier League and take it by storm but not always.

“Steve Cooper is doing a good job. He is recruiting smart. They are not going crazy but they are recruiting well.”
