Liam Delap breaks social media silence after Man City buy-back news
Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap has taken to social media for the first time after being linked with moves to Chelsea and Man City.
The 21-year-old has been on fire since leaving boyhood club Man City for Ipswich Town in the summer, scoring six goals and providing one assist in 12 Premier League appearances.
Delap’s fine form has earned him admirers amongst the Premier League elite, with Chelsea said to be interested in bringing the Englishman to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea and Man City eye ‘next Cole Palmer’ Liam Delap
The West London club have had immense success from former Man City academy graduates with Cole Palmer and Romeo Lavia both making names for themselves at Chelsea.
Palmer is the obvious archetype, providing 52 goal contributions in 59 appearances across all competitions since moving to Stamford Bridge.
For now, however, Delap appears focused on doing the best he can to keep Ipswich in the Premier League, taking to Instagram to share the club’s recent post.

Kieran McKenna’s side earned a valuable point in their mission to avoid relegation thanks to a deflected Omari Hutchinson goal in the 1-1 draw with Man United on Sunday (November 24).
As for Chelsea and Man City, they both remain in contention for Champions League qualification, with Enzo Maresca’s side one point behind the current title holders in third after their dismal run of form.
