Lisandro Martinez sends Man United message after confirmed news
Man United defender Lisandro Martinez has taken to social media to share an update with fans after returning from injury.
Martinez, 26, has been out of action after picking up a back injury in United’s 3-0 Premier League win over Leicester in interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy’s last game in charge.
The centre-back flew to Argentina to report for international duty earlier in the month, only to be sent back to Carrington, with manager Lionel Scaloni saying Martinez was “unable to function properly.”
He has now returned to first-team training under new manager Ruben Amorim after missing out on his first game at the helm in United’s 1-1 draw with Ipswich on Sunday (November 24).
Lisandro Martinez ready for Man United action
Martinez is one of many Man United players who will have to get used to an entirely new system under Ruben Amorim, having never played a back three during his time at Old Trafford.
Excited by the chance to work under his new manager, Martinez took to Instagram to let fans know he’s glad to be ‘back home.’

The World Cup winner could be set to feature in Man United’s Europa League game against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday (November 28).
Attention will return to the Premier League on Sunday (December 1) as Man United prepare to take on Sean Dyche’s struggling Everton side.
