Liverpool and Chelsea rivals ‘jump the queue’ in Dean Huijsen race – sources
Bayern Munich are pushing hard to agree a summer deal for Liverpool and Chelsea target Dean Huijsen, sources have told Football Insider.
The 20-year-old has impressed clubs across Europe with his performances for Bournemouth this term.
Huijsen will be available via a £50million release clause in the summer transfer window and the Cherries are powerless to avoid losing him.
Sources say Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle – among others – are keen to land the Spain international this summer.
Bayern pushing to sign Bournemouth star Huijsen
But Bayern boss Vincent Kompany is a huge fan of the young centre-back and is pushing the Bundesliga champions-elect to jump to the front of the queue ahead of the summer transfer window.
Huijsen has also spoken out about interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid – calling them a “huge club” and admitting he wants to “play in the maximum [level] possible”.

The 20-year-old has made 29 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring two goals for Andoni Iraola’s side.
He is under contract on the south coast until June 2030, but the defender is unlikely to see out that deal with his release clause set to be activated this summer.

Liverpool could accept Diaz offer
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Monday (14 April) that Liverpool could consider a mega-money offer for winger Luis Diaz this summer as Saudi Pro League interest resurfaces.
Liverpool have held contract talks with Diaz in recent months, with his current Reds deal set to expire in June 2027 – but have not made progress.
It is believed they could accept a bid of £60million-plus in the off-season if Diaz is keen to make a move elsewhere.
