Kieran Maguire backs Liverpool to bank £436m-plus windfall
Liverpool will bank more than £436million when they next negotiate on their four primary sponsorship deals.
So says finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Merseysiders’ commercial prospects in the coming years.
As per the Liverpool Echo on 25 August, the club’s sponsorship deals with Nike, Standard Chartered, AXA and Expedia are worth a combined £436m.

Liverpool posted a £46m loss for the last financial year but their commercial income rose from £188m to £217m.
The partnerships with Standard Chartered and AXA expire in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
And Maguire anticipates that Liverpool will be able to improve on their current commercial income when they sit down to negotiate with the companies.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “Assuming that the global economy can operate in a post-pandemic world, they will do well.
“If you are a commercial organisation, you’re looking for blue-chip partners You need someone who is guaranteed to deliver in terms of attracting eyeballs.
“They are one of very few organisations that can deliver in that regard. Liverpool are always going to be in the news because they are Liverpool.

“They have been successful on the pitch as well and they are connected to an iconic city, which can helps things somewhat.
“I do not think there is exponential growth in those relationships, but there are growth opportunities. So they have the capacity to nudge those up a bit.”
