Liverpool could pay ‘£150m’ to complete signing of 21-yr-old next year
Liverpool have been tipped to pay a huge fee to secure one of their top targets in next year’s summer transfer window.
Arne Slot’s side currently sit second in the Premier League, and some of their new additions are struggling to settle at Anfield.
In the most recent summer window, Liverpool broke the British transfer record twice, first for Florian Wirtz and then for the signing of Alexander Isak.
The Reds also brought in Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez in an attempt to defend their Premier League title.

Liverpool will be forced to spend big for Adam Wharton
Over the past few weeks, the speculation has increased regarding Liverpool’s interest in Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that Palace could set a price tag of around £150million on Wharton, due to his quality.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that the 21-year-old is “very impressive” and demands a fee that high.
Wyness added that there will be a number of big sides in for Wharton, so Palace can start a bit of an auction for his services.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: I’ve been very impressed with Wharton. I’ve watched him, and I saw him play against Everton the other week. He was a very impressive man of the match for me.
“I think you’re looking at about a £150m type player for Palace. I think there’s no doubt he’s the right age. He’s definitely going to be an England star. I think he’ll feature pretty heavily in the World Cup in America next year.
“Wharton is a talent, and I think that’s the sort of money that Palace could be looking for. There’s a lot of interest; there will be an auction for him, I’m sure.
“Palace will not want to lose him, and they will not want to let him go for a lower price. So I think they’ll get the right money.”
Crystal Palace make January decision regarding Adam Wharton’s exit
Football Insider revealed on 21 September that Crystal Palace will not sell Wharton in January as they look to keep hold of one of their prize assets.

Along with Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Real Madrid have been linked with the England international.
However, he remains a crucial part of Oliver Glasner‘s plans for the rest of the season, and a move in January is considered highly unlikely as things stand.
It means that the Reds will instead be made to wait until next summer if they wish to formalise their interest.
