Liverpool could replace ‘unbelievable’ player with Aurelien Tchouameni after source’s reveal – pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested Liverpool could sign Monaco star Aurelien Tchoameni as a long-term replacement for one of the “unbelievable” midfielders at Anfield.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Scotland defender admitted he “loves” the Reds’ transfer strategy of recruiting “young, hungry talent” to keep the squad on their toes.
A recruitment source told Football Insider on Monday (9 May) that Liverpool have registered their interest in signing Tchouameni, 22, after identifying him as a top target.

Monaco have set a £50million-plus asking price on the midfielder’s head.
Hutton suggested Liverpool may view Tchouameni as a long-term successor for one of their midfielders over 30.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I think the likes of Henderson, Milner, Thiago have been unbelievable for the club.
“But, of course, they aren’t getting any younger. I think that’s what we’ve seen with the front three. He is not scared to bring people in, the kind of next generation.
“That’s the one thing I love about Liverpool. They don’t stand still. They’re always looking at bringing that next hungry, young player through the door that’s not just going to sit there and be another number but push to get into that team.
“This will be no different as well. You look at the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and these kinds of guys who are on the periphery of the squad.
“It might be a case of moving these guys on to get the new, younger talent through the door. To bed them in to be the next generation.”

Henderson, 31, has made more appearances (54) than any other Liverpool player this season.
The Reds also have Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and Curtis Jones to call on in midfield.
