Liverpool could rival Man City with new Marc Guehi offer after crushing blow
Liverpool have a decision to make in their pursuit of Marc Guehi following increased interest from Manchester City.
Guehi’s proposed summer move to Liverpool collapsed on deadline day despite a £35million deal being agreed with Crystal Palace.
Oliver Glasner’s side are keen to avoid losing the 25-year-old on a free transfer when his contract at Selhurst Park expires on 30 June.
Man City have been backed to sign Guehi before the transfer window closes on 2 February, but Arsenal also retain an interest in the England international.

Arsenal set to make decision about signing Marc Guehi in January
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Liverpool could make a new move to sign Guehi following Conor Bradley’s injury.
Bradley has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury in the goalless draw against Arsenal last week.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “I think the reality is maybe Liverpool will be back in after Conor Bradley getting injured. Maybe they just think they need another body at the back. Maybe they just think, let’s just do the deal.
“Maybe it’s Liverpool, but it’s probably only them and City. Although Arsenal like the player, I don’t think there’s any chance. If you look at Arsenal’s bench, I don’t think there’s any chance Arsenal are buying another player in January of his level.

“And to be honest, I don’t think he’d go now because I think he wants to play most games between now and the end of the season. You wouldn’t think he would at Arsenal unless they want to play him at full-back.”
Why Guehi could make shock Crystal Palace exit decision
Borson insisted Guehi could decide to remain at Palace until the end of the season, allowing him more time to think about which club to join in the summer.
“I think for him, does he want to move to the north effectively or does he just want to sit it out?” said Borson.
“I think he’s probably going to sit it out and won’t move. But if he does, I think the range is kind of £25-30m.

“If it happens, it would happen after these games in January. I think Palace will want to squeeze every last drop out of him before selling him.”
Meanwhile, Guehi is now able to sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs overseas, with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich believed to be interested in securing his signature.
