Liverpool could seal Luis Diaz-like signing after source’s 18-year-old talks update – pundit
Noel Whelan has tipped Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham to fit seamlessly in at Liverpool much like Luis Diaz.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Premier League striker claimed the 18-year-old has the potential to become “a legend” at Anfield.
Speaking on the Kenn7 YouTube channel (24 March), The Times’ Paul Joyce Dortmund value Bellingham at £100million amid interest from the Reds.

A German source has since told Football Insider (30 March) that the Bundesliga giants are making progress on agreeing new terms with the teenager.
His current deal at the Signal Iduna Park runs until the summer of 2025.
When asked if Bellingham and Liverpool would be a good match, Whelan told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge: “He would thrive there.
“When you look at Liverpool’s midfield, players like [Jordan] Henderson and [James] Milner are coming to the end of their careers. They need to look to the future, to long-term players that would fit straight into your team.
“Bellingham would fit the jigsaw. Look at Diaz and [Diogo] Jota, they were like ducks to water when they came. They do it so well. They don’t change their style, they sign players who fit their style.
“Bellingham is a player who I think would thrive at Liverpool. I think he’d be a regular and could be a Liverpool legend in years to come.”

Bellingham has enjoyed another impressive season for Borussia Dortmund.
He has contributed six goals and 13 assists across all competitions.
In other news, a pundit has claimed Liverpool have already sealed Divock Origi replacement as ‘outstanding’ deal agreed.
