Liverpool could table new Mohamed Salah offer after journalist’s £42.5m reveal – pundit
Liverpool could use the money generated from the sale of Sadio Mane to fund an improved contract offer for Mohamed Salah.
That is the view of former Spurs and England number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the uncertain futures of the Reds duo.
Mane, 30, and Salah, 29, both have just over 12 months remaining on their contracts at Anfield.

Liverpool have rejected a £25million offer from Bayern Munich from Mane.
According to the Daily Mail‘s Simon Jones (6 June), the Reds are holding out for a fee of £42.5million for the Senegal international.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the duo’s futures ahead of the window opening, Robinson said: “Liverpool cannot afford to let them both go, even if they get a decent fee for both.
“They cannot afford to let both go.
“If Mane is going they have to get Salah’s contract over the line. They should do everything they can to get him to sign.
“There could be a huge turnaround and drop off from Liverpool if they lose Mane and Salah. That could potentially happen.

“It is vitally important that they use what money they have to get Salah on a new deal. Perhaps they will use the transfer fee from Sadio Mane into a package for Mohamed Salah.
“To replace both of them would be near on impossible.”
