Liverpool delivered ‘great news’ after ‘special’ Fabinho reveal – pundit

Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Fabinho after the “exceptional” Liverpool midfielder committed his future to the club.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England goalkeeper said “it is great news” for Jurgen Klopp’s side that the 28-year-old is happy on Merseyside.

In an interview with club media (28 March), Fabinho revealed he is “very happy at Anfield” and suggested he would be at the club for at least another four years.

The Brazil international went on to describe the Reds as “a special club”.

His current contract runs until the summer of 2026.

When asked for his thoughts on Fabinho’s season, Robinson told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “He’s been exceptional again this season.

“His fitness has been great as well. His game ratio this season has been very good. Fabinho’s a top player and you need players in your squad like him.

“On and off the field I imagine he’s an important player for them. He’s been an integral part of what they have done this season.

“To have players like that happy and wanting to stay is great news. Look where Liverpool are, they are competing for the Premier League and competing for the Champions League – where else would you go?”
