Liverpool fans: Andy Robertson is ‘finished’ after what happened vs Brighton

Liverpool supporters have claimed that Andy Robertson is “finished” at Anfield after he was benched against Brighton.

Arne Slot opted to start Konstantinos Tsimikas at left-back ahead of the Scotland international, which has left fans questioning Robertson’s future at the football club.

The Reds came from behind to defeat Brighton 2-1 at Anfield after goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah, which took the club to the top of the Premier League.

However, the 30-year-old played no part in the match as Slot opted not to bring him off the bench at any point.

This was the first Premier League fixture of the season that Robertson played no part in, although he has failed to provide any assists or goals throughout his nine appearances.

Robertson remains under contract at Anfield until June 2026, but Liverpool fans now believe that his time is up.

Liverpool fans felt Andy Robertson deserved to be dropped

Football Insider reported that the Reds are looking to sign a new left-back as a long-term replacement for Robertson, with Slot not viewing the Scotsman as the best option for the foreseeable future.

Fans believe it’s “time to move on” from Robertson, adding that Slot’s team selection showcases “the level Andy Robertson is performing at.”
