Liverpool fans destroy ‘bitter’ Gary Neville after what he said about Van Dijk

Liverpool fans have hit out at Gary Neville after his comments about Virgil van Dijk while commentating on their Premier League clash v Arsenal.

Arne Slot’s side fought hard to secure a 2-2 draw at the Emirates after goals from Bukayo Saka, Van Dijk, Mikel Merino and Mohamed Salah.

Despite the praise for securing an important point on the road, many fans were left distracted by Neville’s overly critical commentary once more.

After Saka opened the scoring for the hosts, with some calamitous defending from Andrew Robertson, Neville divided to call out the captain for his role.

Robertson played the winger on-side and was nutmegged before the ball was fired into the net, but the former Man United man insisted Van Dijk should have done more to prevent the goal.

This comes just one week after fans called for Sky Sports to sack their top pundit after his commentary on the win v Chelsea.

Now, supporters have renewed their anger towards him, as they were left stunned by his comments.

Liverpool fans can’t believe what Gary Neville said about Virgil van Dijk v Arsenal

Neville has frequently been criticised for what many see as biased commentary given his allegiance to Man United where he remains a club legend.

Now, Liverpool fans are insisting the pundit lets that allegiance cloud his vision as they continue to question why he is chosen to commentate their fixtures.

Taking to social media during the game, after Saka’s opening goal, fans labelled Neville “bitter” and “delusional” and they made their frustrations known.

In other news, Liverpool fans slammed Trent Alexander-Arnold after what he did.
