Liverpool fans were boosted by the return of Sheyi Ojo and they reacted with delight on Twitter as pictures emerged of him back in action in training.
The 19-year-old has not featured since the pre-season campaign after suffering a fracture in his back during the friendly defeat against Roma.
He was due to return to training in September but suffered a set-back and made his comeback in Monday’s training session, the day after Joe Gomez performed 45 minutes in a friendly match.
Gomez was out of action for 13 months following a serious ACL knee injury but played his first game since Klopp’s arrival in a behind-closed-doors friendly victory against Accrington Stanley.
Ojo made 11 appearances under Klopp last season after he was recalled from his loan spell at Wolves in January and was hugely impressive.
He made his debut against Exeter in a 2-2 FA Cup draw in January 2016 and featured heavily during pre-season campaign. Ojo’s return is timely one given the Reds are set to lose Sadio Mane in the new year as he competes in the Africa Cup of Nations.
