Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Flanagan display v Lincoln
By Matt Farr
Jon Flanagan was part of the Burnley side that were knocked out of the FA Cup by Lincoln on Saturday – and Liverpool fans were disappointed with his display.
The 24-year-old defender is currently on loan at Turf Moor from Liverpool until the end of the season, and was making only his ninth appearance of the season.
However, Liverpool fans were left unimpressed by his performance on Saturday, after they tuned in to Burnley’s clash with minnows Lincoln to view the player’s progress.
A last-minute goal from Sean Raggett saw Lincoln record a shock 1-0 victory over the Premier League side, and Reds fans took to social media following the game to voice their opinions on Flanagan’s efforts.

Flanagan looked set to have a promising career at Anfield, and was a particular favourite of previous Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
However, the former England international saw his hopes dashed with a major long-term injury, which saw him spend 19 months on the sidelines.
He made his long-awaited return to the Liverpool first-team at the end of last season, but he struggled to make an impact under new manager Jurgen Klopp, and was subsequently loaned out to Burnley.
However, as far as Liverpool fans are concerned, his latest performance for the Clarets suggests that his days with Liverpool are numbered.
