Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Mamadou Sakho display in Dortmund

Mamadou Sakho delivered one of his finest displays in a Liverpool shirt in their 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund.
The French defender epitomised the resoluteness of Jurgen Klopp’s side in their Europa League quarter-final first leg clash with a string of last-ditch interceptions as he continually proved to be in the right place at the right time.
One first-half block from Sakho “saved a certain goal” according to BT Sport Europe co-commentator Michael Owen.
Sakho has not always convinced Liverpool fans during his three seasons at Anfield but his centre-back partnership with Dejan Lovren is growing increasingly authoritative.
Lovren, outstanding in the 1-1 draw against Tottenham on Saturday, was once more immense against high-flying Dortmund in Germany on Thursday night.
But it was Sakho who was really feeling the love from Liverpool fans afterwards and here is a selection of the messages posted on social media site Twitter.
The one downbeat note of an otherwise uplifting night for Liverpool was that a crucial player has suffered a serious-looking injury.
