Liverpool fans say same thing about Alexander-Arnold exit after damaging update

Liverpool fans are happy to see Trent Alexander-Arnold depart the football club after a damning statistic has highlighted a defensive flaw in his game.

WhoScored.com revealed that the England international has been dribbled past more times than any other defender in the entire Premier League this season, with the right-back getting beaten 22 times.

The 26-year-old has been criticised for his defensive abilities throughout his career, with his attacking qualities being used to counterbalance that.

Alexander-Arnold is out of contract at Anfield next summer and is free to open negotiations with foreign clubs from January.

Football Insider revealed that the Reds are eyeing a move to sign Chelsea’s Malo Gusto if they end up losing Alexander-Arnold in the summer.

Football Insider reported in November that the right-back has been “talking a lot” with Real Madrid about a potential move, which could spell the end of his stint in England.
