Liverpool fans say the same thing about Curtis Jones after 1-0 win vs Palace
Liverpool fans took to social media to express their displeasure with Curtis Jones’ performance in their 1-0 Premier League win over Crystal Palace on Saturday (October 5).
The 23-year-old was handed his first Premier League start under new manager Arne Slot at Selhurst Park having only played 44 minutes across his three previous substitute appearances.
Jones came in for Dominik Szoboszlai who Slot decided to rest following an impressive performance in their 2-0 Champions League win over Bologna in midweek.
The midfielder was substituted on the 89th minute, replaced by Wataru Endo having had just a single shot on goal and created two chances.
Thankfully for Jones, Diogo Jota continued his fine form and secured the three points with a close-range finish after just nine minutes.
Liverpool fans losing faith in Curtis Jones after his performance against Crystal Palace
Jones missed a sitter in the same fixture last season after going one-on-one with Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson he somehow managed to fire wide of the post.
Despite Liverpool’s impressive start to the season and their win over Palace, fans weren’t impressed with the central midfielder’s performance.
