Liverpool fans slam 28-year-old for costly miss against Manchester City
By Danny Wright
Liverpool supporters have taken to Twitter to slam Adam Lallana for a horrendous miss in the second-half of their 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Sunday.
James Milner’s spot-kick was cancelled out by Sergio Aguero and Liverpool would have taken home all three points if the 28-year-old managed to grab a winning goal.
Pep Guardiola’s defence went completely missing when Roberto Firmino squared the ball to an unmarked Lallana in the six-yard box.
With Willy Caballero completely stranded, the ex-Saints player simply had to tap the ball home but somehow he buckled under pressure and completely missed the ball.

After what was a pulsating 90 minutes of non-stop action, Liverpool failed to make any huge strides towards qualification for next season’s Champions League.
Manchester United’s win earlier in the day means the Reds are now just four points clear of fifth with Jose Mourinho’s side having played two games less than their great rivals.
Here is a selection of tweets from Liverpool supporters about Lallana’s awful miss:
Lallana has recently signed a new contract at Anfield after what has been a great season for the England international so far – which adds to the surprise that he fluffed his lines on Sunday.
In all competitions during the current campaign, Lallana has contributed seven goals and seven assists in 31 appearances.
However you would have to go all the way back to December 27 when he last found the back of the net for the Reds.
