Liverpool fans stunned by Trent Alexander-Arnold clip that’s dropped online

Liverpool fans have been left stunned by Trent Alexander-Arnold after what he did in England’s 2-0 win against the Republic of Ireland.

Lee Carsley took charge of his first game as the manager of England’s senior team, leading them to an impressive victory thanks to goals from Declan Rice and Jack Grealish.

However, it was Alexander-Arnold’s display which caught the eyes of Liverpool fans as he was deployed at right-back from the start.

His inclusion in the team came after a lack of regular involvement under Gareth Southgate which often left fans frustrated with the previous boss.

However, Carsley backed the Liverpool star from the start and allowed him to show exactly what he could do when playing in his regular position.

One pass in particular left fans open-mouthed after a clip was shared on social media, with his defence-splitting pass playing Anthony Gordon through on goal.

The Newcastle winger failed to slot the chance away, but the resulting phase led to Rice’s opening goal, and it all came from an Alexander-Arnold pass.

The Liverpool star had featured in midfield for most of his involvement at Euro 2024, but returned to right-back under Carsley, who has insisted that will be his regular position.

Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier had been the preferred options in that role previously, but after his display against Ireland, the spot may now be Alexander-Arnold’s to lose.

As the clip of his pass quickly did the rounds online, supporters took to social media to express their delight at his return to the team, heaping praise on his display.
